How to use Paligo to delete an article or navigational topic in Salesforce Knowledge.
With Paligo's Salesforce Preflight feature, you can delete articles that already exist in your Salesforce Knowledge. This applies to articles that are mapped to topics in Paligo and also articles that were created locally in Salesforce Knowledge.
If your Salesforce Knowledge uses navigational topics, you can use Salesforce Preflight to delete those too.
-
Display Salesforce Preflight.
-
Locate your publication or topic in the Content Manager and select its dotted menu (...).
Note
If you are using a Salesforce Nested Layout, you can only publish a publication.
-
Select Publish to display the Publish document dialog.
-
Select HTML and then select the Salesforce Knowledge or Salesforce Nested Layout that you want to use for publishing.
-
Apply your publishing preferences.
To learn about the publishing settings, see Publish to Salesforce Knowledge.
-
Select the Preflight tab.
-
-
Select the Salesforce tab.
-
Select the trash icon for the resource you want to remove.
-
If you mark an article for deletion, Paligo will remove that article from Salesforce Knowledge when you publish.
-
If you delete a navigational topic, Paligo will removes that navigational topic only. Any articles that are "children" of the navigation topic will remain in place.
If you cannot see the article or navigational topic you want to delete, use a different publication to access Salesforce Preflight. It needs to be a publication that does not contain the content you want to delete. Remember, the Salesforce tab in Preflight only shows content that exists in Salesforce already and is not part of the content you selected in step 1 of the procedure above.
-
-
Select Publish.
Paligo will remove the articles that you marked for deletion as part of the publishing process.
